Rehab Services

5-Star Rehab Services

Providence Healthcare is a 5-star community. PHC is accredited by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, a national ranking system of Skilled Nursing Facilities. PHC specializes in both inpatient and outpatient rehab and therapy services. Our therapists are committed to helping achieve positive outcomes and return home, as quickly as each recovery will allow.

Exceptional care begins with a detailed therapy evaluation. Following this evaluation, a personal care plan is designed to meet individual recovery needs. Next, we establish clear goals to work towards. Through this process, treatment and recovery continues, based on medical condition, ability to participate in therapy regularly, and doctor guidance.

PHC’s rehab services include Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Aquatic therapy.  Each therapy service is offered on an inpatient and outpatient basis.  Every therapist is specially trained in their area of discipline. They each provide the highest quality of care possible to every patient.

Providence Health Care offers rehab services up to seven days per week.

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy consists of exercises in a pool as a part of a therapy treatment plan.  A 9-foot x 12-foot pool is featured in our on-site Aquatic Therapy room. The pool is equipped with an adjustable deck and an underwater treadmill.  This deck allows pool access to patients with all levels of function, including non-weight bearing patients.  We are the only skilled nursing facility in the area that offers an on-site aquatic therapy pool.

Speech-Language Pathology

Our highly trained speech therapists focus on speech, voice, cognition, and swallowing skills. The goal of this therapy is to retrain and regain skills. Speech therapy involves engaging patients in exercises and activities, based on their specific needs.  Furthermore, our speech therapists promote a healthy lifestyle for our patients. Many patients can benefit from Speech Therapy, including patients that have been affected by stroke, dementia, or even show normal signs of aging.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is the treatment of a disease or disability through exercise. Our physical therapists use specially designed equipment to help patients regain movement and strength.  Physical therapy provides assistance with needs such as gait training, bed mobility, wound care and wheelchair positioning. The ultimate goal of improving these skills is to make daily tasks and activities easier and safer so that our patients become as independent as possible.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is designed to help patients regain skills related to daily living activities so that they may return to productive, independent lives.  Some examples of these skills include eating, dressing, grooming and housekeeping.  Several benefits of occupational therapy are fall prevention, better health and wellness, and less pressure for caregivers.  Occupational therapy is often needed following surgery, acute or prolonged illness, injury, general aging or disease progression.
